The Work Attitude Program:
The Importance of Responsible Workplace Behavior Pledge

The Work Attitude Questionnaire is a powerful tool in your pre-employment evaluation process because it measures job-relevant attitudes that affect a person’s work behavior and that can increase the risk that he or she will act inappropriately on the job.

But it’s not enough to know what attitudes a new employee might bring to the job! The goal of effective employment testing should be to use the job-relevant information about individuals to help them become productive and effective employees!

The WORK ATTITUDE PROGRAM lets you begin a new employee’s tenure on the right foot by providing a structured and positive framework in which to discuss your company’s standards for employee behavior.

The WORK ATTITUDE PROGRAM uses interactive, psychometric techniques to be sure that the new employee understands what appropriate behavior is for each of the four attitude areas, and obtains a commitment to appropriate workplace behavior from the new employee.

The WORK ATTITUDE PROGRAM is administered as a self-conducted Work Pledge exercise. A brief, positive introduction to each of the four attitude areas is presented, along with an explanation of why it is in a person’s best interest to maintain high personal standards for appropriate behavior. The exercise ends with a pledge of commitment, signed by the new employee, to maintain the company’s standards for appropriate on-the-job behavior.  The interactive Work Pledge is administered in either English or Spanish.

Don’t underestimate the power of that signature on the Work Pledge! The entire exercise creates an opportunity to present your company’s appropriate workplace behavior standards in a non-threatening and positive way, and your new employee signs an acknowledgment of training.

The WORK ATTITUDE PROGRAM is included in the price of the Work Attitude Questionnaire! There are no additional fees or expenses: use the Work Attitude Questionnaire as part of the pre-employment evaluation process, and incorporate the Work Pledge into the new employee orientation program!

For less than $10 per person, you can begin immediately to include an objective evaluation of the important attitudes that drive appropriate workplace behavior in your selection and hiring process!
